Universal 4 Point DIFF Breather Kit for Toyota Landcruiser Prado Hilux Kluger 4x4
This Universal Kit includes the following components: a stainless steel mounting bracket to be installed within the Engine Bay, always above the Water Level; 2 galvanized self-tapping screws for mounting the bracket; 4 O-ring sealed bulkhead fittings; 4 breather/filters; 5 O-ring sealed water-resistant push fittings, including a Y-fitting; 4 brass hose barbs/male for easy connection to existing factory breather hose/lines if required; 15 UV-resistant cable ties; 10 meters of 6mm-OD hose; and 2 corrugated protective sleeves with a total combined length of 1 meter, to enclose the breather hose at cable tie points if needed. Additionally, a 5-Year Warranty is provided.
Due to the difficulty in locating gearbox and transfer case breather positions on all vehicles, this kit is recommended to be installed by a qualified mechanic/workshop that has access to a hoist with safety equipment. Some transfer cases, gearboxes, and differential housings may not have a threaded fitting for removal, and instead have a pressed-in top cover/hat breather vent installed. In these cases, a mechanic must modify the pressed-in top cover/hat breather to allow a rubber hose to be connected and then connected to the diff breather kits' hose/fittings/brass hose barbs. Please note that additional components may be required to install this kit, depending on your vehicle application and series.
The differential/axle breather is crucial for four-wheel-drive vehicles, as it vents the air pressure in drivetrain assemblies, including the differentials, transmission, and transfer case. During normal operations, these assemblies heat up, causing the air inside to expand and increase the pressure. When the drivetrain assembly cools down, the air inside contracts and creates a vacuum.
This kit is designed to eliminate these problems by providing a high-flow, zero back-pressure, and zero-vacuum breather system. This is achieved with the ARB compressor air filter within the central anodized billet aluminum manifold, which allows all of the assemblies to be vented from a single location on the drivetrain.
The kit is compatible with Toyota Hilux, Kluger 4x4, Landcruiser, Prado; Nissan Patrol GQ GU, Navara, and X-Trail; and Mitsubishi Triton. It comes with a 5-year warranty, as well as a support return, replace, and refund service.
