The ARB 170112 Differential Breather Kit is designed with the user in mind, providing a high-flow, zero back pressure, zero vacuum breather system to keep your drivetrain free of water. This is achieved through a central high-flow air filter and manifold that allows up to four drivetrain assemblies, such as differentials, transmission, and transfer case, to be vented to one central location positioned high enough to avoid water during crossings.
The kit is an essential insurance for 4WD vehicles, as driving through water can subject the hot differential to aggressive temperature changes, potentially damaging the vehicle. When drivetrain assemblies heat up during normal operation, the air inside expands and increases pressure, which is not suitable for the vehicle. The ARB Differential Breather Kit addresses this issue by providing a high-flow, zero back pressure, zero vacuum breather system.
ARB, a leading manufacturer of award-winning products, has designed and tested the Differential Breather Kit for durability in real-world conditions, ensuring it meets or exceeds all required and standardized testing. The kit includes a differential axle breather, a manifold with four ports to connect up to four breather lines, a 1/4" NPT port for the air filter, push-in fittings, plugs, tubing, screws, and cable ties.
The anodized aluminum manifold features five ports and two mounting holes, with four 1/8" BSP ports and one 1/4" NPT port for the air filter. The kit also includes four 8 mm-1/8" BSP push-in fittings, three 1/8" BSP plugs for unused ports, two self-tapping screws, 25 cable ties, and 8 meters of 8 mm polyethylene tubing.
By eliminating water from contaminating the oil and damaging the drivetrain components, the ARB Differential Axle Breather Kit provides a high-flow, with no back pressure, zero vacuum breather system, ensuring the longevity and performance of your 4WD vehicle.
