Gusseted Awning Bracket (2), 50mm Wide, 8mm Pre-Drilled Holes
The 813402 Awning Bracket by ARB is designed to provide additional strength when mounting awnings to roof bars on vehicles used off-road or under extreme conditions. Zinc plated and powder coated for corrosion resistance, the bracket can be installed either upright or inverted, allowing it to fit over both Thule SquareBar & Rhino Heavy Duty bars.
The 50mm wide bracket is pre-drilled to accept 8mm bolts, with a recommendation to use at least 2, but preferably 3 bolts, for maximum strength. The outer bolt hole between the welded gussets must always be used to ensure the gusset's effectiveness. Three slotted 6mm holes are provided to mount the awning itself.
Due to the various roof bar designs, the necessary hardware, such as T-bolts and channel nuts, is not included with the bracket. It is recommended to use the hardware supplied by the roof bar manufacturer.
Recently, the 813402 Awning Bracket has been upgraded from a 3mm to a 4mm construction. However, it is still considered a lighter-duty option, suitable primarily for highway use.
ARB suggests using 2 or 3 brackets to secure the awning, depending on its size. The 1250mm, 2000mm, and 2500mm ARB awnings should use 2, 2, and 3 brackets, respectively, for optimal support.
The bracket is designed to fit most roof racks and cargo cages, with the welded gussets providing increased strength and rigidity. The zinc plating and powder coating ensure excellent rust protection.
It's important to note that the 813402 Awning Bracket is not intended for off-road use and is classified as a light-duty product. For demanding conditions, a more robust solution may be required.
